On Sunday, 24 June 2007, at the Belmont Shooting Complex, Brisbane, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, as Patron of the National Rifle Association of Australia, presented The Queen's Prize at the National Championships.

In the evening, at the Sheraton Mirage, Port Douglas, Queensland, the Governor-General, as guest of honour, attended the 12th APEC Women Leaders' Network Heads of Delegation Dinner.
