On Wednesday 27 April 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of the Honourable Inia Seruiratu, Fijian Minister for Defence, National Security and Policing, attended a wreath laying ceremony at the National War Memorial.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of the Honourable Faiyaz Koya, Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport, and Acting Minister for Local Government, Education, Heritage and Arts, opened the Women's Accommodation Building at the Nausori Market.
Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Dr Paula Vivili, Deputy Director General of the Pacific Community, visited the SPC Centre for Pacific Crops and Trees.
Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of the Honourable Inia Seruiratu, visited Fiji’s National Disaster Management Office.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of His Excellency John Feakes, Australian High Commissioner, attended a reception at the High Commissioner's residence.
