Swearing-in of the Administrator of the Northern Territory; Arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Palau

On Monday 10 November 2014, at Government House, Darwin, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General administered the Oath of Allegiance and the Oath of Office of the Administrator of the Northern Territory to His Honour Mr John Hardy OAM.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Prior of the Priory of the Order of St John in Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, attended an investiture ceremony at which the Governor-General appointed His Honour Mr John Hardy OAM as Deputy Prior of the Order of St John of the Northern Territory.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, attended a lunch hosted in their honour by the Administrator of the Northern Territory, His Honour Mr John Hardy OAM and Mrs Marie Hardy.

Earlier, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Palau, His Excellency Tommy Remengesau Jr, by Group Captain Graeme Davies CSC ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
