Swearing-in ceremony; Royal Society of Arts Canberra City Network; Hall of Valour Gallery

On Monday 21 February 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Patron, received the Directors and Board Members of HeartKids Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, received Directors and Board Members of HeartKids Australia.

Later, the Governor-General issued the Affirmation of Office to the Parliamentary Secretary for Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, Senator the Honourable Kate Lundy.

Then, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received the First Assistant Secretary – South and West Asia and Middle East Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr David Stuart.

In the evening, Mr Bryce hosted a reception for the Royal Society of Arts Canberra City Network.

Later, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officially opened the new Hall of Valour Gallery.
