On Monday 6 August 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), as guest of Mr Shane Phillips, Chief Executive Officer, attended a Tribal Warrior boxing session at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence. 

Then, Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as Patron, and the Governor-General hosted a morning tea for families, friends, and supporters of Cystic Fibrosis Australia. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General hosted a lunch for Mr Garry Browne AM. 

Later, the Governor-General hosted a meeting of the King’s Trust Australia Advisory Council. 

In the evening, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley hosted a dinner to recognise the work of the Order of Australia Association Foundation.
