On Friday 7 February 2020, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Sydney, New South Wales.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Ms Heather Ridout AO, Chair, The Order of Australia Association.

Later, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Mrs Hurley hosted an Investiture Ceremony for Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales.
