On Friday 14 February 2020, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Sydney, New South Wales.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received representatives from Shake It Up Australia, including: Mr Clyde Campbell, Founder and CEO; Ms Vicki Miller, Executive General Manager Strategic Partnerships; and Ms Carolyn Campbell, Communications and Media Manager.

Later, the Governor-General received Mr Steve Killelea AM, Founder and Executive Chairman, Institute for Economics and Peace, for a call.

Then, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Mrs Hurley hosted an Investiture Ceremony for the Honourable Barry O’Farrell AO.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr James McAtamney, President, attended the Noteable Theatre Company’s Gala Benefit Concert at the Glen Street Theatre.
