On Friday 31 May 2019, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove received Mr Keith Payne VC AM and Mrs Flo Payne.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an afternoon tea for New South Wales-based patronages.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a dinner for New South Wales-based recipients of honours and awards.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from St Peters Lutheran College, Indooroopilly, Queensland, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
