On Friday 23 August 2019, at Admiralty House, Canberra, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received Mr Steve Howard, Secretary General, Global Fund; Mr Jock Murray AO, Chair, Global Foundation; and Ms Louise Watson, Board member, Global Foundation.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley hosted a morning tea for the Australian Women’s Cricket Team in recognition of their Ashes victory.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Tim Gavin, President, Rugby Australia, attended the Road to Japan Farewell Lunch at The Star Casino, Sydney.
