On Wednesday 9 October 2019, at Admiralty House, Sydney, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received Mr Matthew Neuhaus, Ambassador to the Netherlands.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley received Mr Mark Rutte, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

Later, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, the Governor-General invested Mr Mark Rutte AC, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, as an Honorary Companion of the Order of Australia.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for the Australia India Youth Dialogue.
