On Friday 16 June 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) as a guest of Mr Shane Phillips, Chief Executive Officer, attended a Tribal Warrior boxing session at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley hosted a morning tea for the Macular Disease 2023 Research Grants Awards Program.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a lunch for Mr Isaiah Dawe, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, and Aunty Glendra Stubbs OAM, Aunty-in-Residence, ID. Know Yourself.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received Professor Nicola Lee, interim Chief Executive Officer, Hello Sunday Morning.

In the evening, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley attended the 20th anniversary of the Australian Veterans’ Children Assistance Trust, where they presented the scholarship awards.
