On Tuesday 17 October 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as Joint Patrons, hosted a morning tea for Integra Service Dogs Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received a phone call from Professor Tom Calma AO, Chancellor, University of Canberra.

Later, the Governor-General received Ms Jillian Segal AO, President; and Mr Peter Wertheim AM, Co-Chief Executive Officer, Executive Council of Australian Jewry.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr David Ossip, President, visited and met with members of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies.

In the evening, Mrs Hurley, as Patron, and the Governor-General, hosted a reception for the National Council of Women Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Mr Robin Fox, Lead Artist, Sydney Opera House 50th Laser Projection.

Later, the Governor-General was represented at Melbourne International Airport for the arrival to Australia by His Excellency Gitanas Nauséda, President of the Republic of Lithuania by Honorary Aide-de-Camp Colonel Mark Richards ADC.
