On Friday 1 December 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), as guest of Mr Shane Phillips, Chief Executive Officer, attended a Tribal Warrior boxing session at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence. 

In the morning, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Robert Mills, Chief Executive Officer, attended the official opening of the Tresillian Wollstonecraft Early Parenting Centre.  

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley hosted an afternoon event for the Order of Australian Association Foundation Scholarship recipients. 

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a musical evening for members and supporters of the Australiana Fund, featuring Mr Gerard Willems AM, Mr Christopher Pidcock and Mr Matthew Dennett.
