On Friday 20 January 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley travelled from Sydney, New South Wales, to Ballarat, Victoria.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as joint Patrons, guests of Ms Rosemary Derwin, Chief Commissioner Girl Guides Australia, attended the Kani-Karrung Australian Girl Guides Jamboree.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Ballarat, Victoria, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
