Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Paul Signorelli OAM.

Later, the Governor-General received Colonel Nick de Bont, Commanding Officer, Sydney University Regiment.

Then, Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as Patron, hosted an afternoon tea for the Sydney Opera House Ladies' Committee.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Australia.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Sydney, New South Wales, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
