On Tuesday 7 February 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley received representatives of the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation, including Mrs Michelle Penfold, Founder and Director; Ms Catherine Cresswell, Programs Director, and Ms Francisca Pena, Chief Operating Officer.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Sydney, New South Wales, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley recorded a video message for Youth Insearch.
