On Monday 25 March 2024, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), as guest of Mr Shane Phillips, Chief Executive Officer, attended a Tribal Warrior boxing session at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence.

Then, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley received Mr Wayne McNee, Chairman, Legacy Australia; Mr Kristan Oud, Artist-in-Residence, Legacy Australia; and Commodore Heath Robertson CSC RAN, Commander Support Force, Royal Australian Navy.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as Joint Patrons, hosted a lunch for friends and supporters of Gidget Foundation Australia. 

Later, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for the Cure Cancer Australia Foundation’s Researcher of the Year.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Sydney, New South Wales, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
