Sydney, New South Wales; Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

On Wednesday 12 February 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, travelled from Sydney, New South Wales to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.  

Then, the Governor-General received Liz Ellis, Chair, Stacey West, Chief Executive Officer, and Liz Watson, Captain, Netball Australia.     

Afterwards, the Governor-General received a phone call from Councillor Ann-Maree Greaney, Acting Mayor, Townsville City Council. 

Later, the Governor-General received Mr Matt Linnegar, Chief Executive, Australian Rural Leadership Foundation. 

In the afternoon the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Ceres Public School, Ceres, Victoria, as they undertook a tour of Government House.  

Then, the Governor-General hosted members of the Sydney Swans Football Club.  

In the evening, the Governor-General, as guest of Ryan Winn, Chief Executive Officer, Science and Technology Australia, attended the Science Meets Parliament 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner.
