On Monday 4 November 2019, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, travelled from Sydney, New South Wales to Melbourne, Victoria.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with the Honourable Daniel Andrews MP, Premier of Victoria, at Parliament House, Melbourne.
Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, hosted a lunch for the Right Reverend the Honourable Dr Peter Hollingworth AC OBE and Mrs Ann Hollingworth at the Melbourne Club.
Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Professor Duncan Maskell, Vice-Chancellor, met with Professor Rachel Nordlinger, Director, and members of the University of Melbourne’s Research Unit for Indigenous Language at the University of Melbourne.
In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Her Excellency the Honourable Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria, attended an afternoon tea at Government House Victoria.
