On Thursday 10 October 2019, at Admiralty House, Sydney, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley hosted a morning tea to present the Macular Disease Foundation’s research grant awards.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled to Wollongong, New South Wales.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of The Right Worshipful Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery AM, received a brief on environmental and conservation intiatives at Wollongong City Council.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Kim Capp, CEO and Director of Nursing, met with students, staff, patients and practitioners at South Coast Private Hospital.
