On Tuesday 16 October 2018, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, welcomed Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they officially commenced their visit to Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Gregor Millson, Joint Chairman, Sargood Foundation, met with staff and guests at Sargood on Collaroy, at Collaroy.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a reception for Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, at Admiralty House.
