On Tuesday 22 August 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General attended breakfast with the Honourable Tanya Plibersek MP, Minister for the Environment and Water.

Later, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley travelled from Sydney to Pennant Hills.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Michael Hanretty, Principal, met with students and staff at Mount St Benedict College.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Brett Johnson, Station Officer, met with members of the Castle Hill Fire Station.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Pennant Hills to Sydney.

Afterwards, Mrs Hurley participated in a phone interviewed with Ms Debra Vemeer, the Sisters of the Good Samaritan.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for the American Australian Association.
