Tamworth, New South Wales; Moree, New South Wales; Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

On Saturday 31 August 2019, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Wes Brown, Property Owner, visited 'Willow Lynne', a 476-acre dairy farm in north-west Tamworth to inspect and discuss the ongoing challenge of drought conditions in New South Wales.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Greg Townsend, President, Tamworth Pastoral and Agricultural Association, officially opened the Tamworth Show and met with visitors and exhibitors.

Later, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Mrs Hurley, travelled to Moree where they conducted an investiture ceremony for Mr Reginald Joseph Jamieson OAM at the Moree Hospital.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley returned to Canberra.
