Thanksgiving Service commemorating the naming of Windsor; Marina Bay Sands Sky Park
On Sunday 5 December 2010, at St Matthew’s Anglican Church, Windsor, the Administrator of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, attended a Thanksgiving Service to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the proclamation of the five Macquarie Towns.
Afterwards, at McQuade Park, Windsor, the Administrator unveiled a plaque to mark the naming of Windsor by Governor Macquarie.
Later, at Yarramundi House, University of Western Sydney, Richmond, the Administrator attended a Civic reception to thank local volunteers and supporters of the Macquarie bicentenary.
In the afternoon, at the Istana, Singapore, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a lunch hosted by the President of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Mr Sellapan Nathan and Mrs Nathan.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a reception with Singapore representatives who are undertaking work relevant to achieving the UN Millennium Development Goals.
