On Thursday, 16 August 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC received from Her Excellency Mrs Susanne Wagner Hoffmann Shine, Letters of Credence accrediting her as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Jorgen Mollegaard (Consul-General) and Mrs Helle Myrthue (Consul), Royal Danish Consulate-General, Sydney. The Governor-General and Mrs Jeffery also received Mr Tony Shine.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Yuval Rotem, Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador of the State of Israel. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Eliyahu Yerushalmi (Minister/Counsellor), Mrs Sara Fink (Counsellor (Technological Affairs)) and Mrs Rachel Shabi Shani (First Secretary (Administration)), Embassy of Israel. The Governor-General and Mrs Jeffery also received Mrs Miri Rotem. Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Jeffery hosted a luncheon in honour of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark and Mr Tony Shine; the Ambassador of the State of Israel and Mrs Miri Rotem.
