On Thursday 20 May 2010, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a morning tea for visiting Indian Police Service Officers. In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Patron of The Sax Institute, received Chief Executive Officer, Professor Sally Redman; Communications Director, Ms Debra Lee; and Honorary Professor of Education at the University of Sydney, Professor Rosalyn Arnold. Later, at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Governor-General, as Patron-in-Chief, and Mr Bryce, attended the 5th International Working Group on Women and Sport World Conference, at which the Governor-General delivered the opening address.
