On Thursday 30 October 2008, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from His Excellency Mr Sven-Olaf Petersson, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden. The Ambassador was accompanied by Ms Kamilla Lindstrom (Counsellor), Mr Hans Pechan (First Secretary) and Ms Jane Viol (First Secretary), Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden. The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE also received Mrs Anita Petersson.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Tserendorjiin Jamaldorj, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of Mongolia. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Jigjee Sareejav (Counsellor) and Mr Enkhtuvshin Bulgan (Second Secretary), Embassy of Mongolia. Then, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Andrzej Jaroszynski, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Witold Krzesinski (Counsellor), Embassy of the Republic of Poland. The Governor-General and Mr Bryce also received Mrs Henryka Dogil-Jaroszynska. In the afternoon, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Abelardo Curbelo Padron, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Ramon D.
