Tribal Warrior Association; Ronald McDonald House; Royal Randwick

On Saturday 12 April 2014, at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence, Redfern, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Tribal Warrior Association, Mr Shane Phillips, met with participants of the Indigenous mentoring program.

Afterwards, at Ronald McDonald House, Randwick, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia, Mr Malcolm Coutts OAM, met with families and staff.

Later, at Royal Randwick Racecourse, Sydney, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chairman of the Australian Turf Club, Mr Michael Crismale, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officially opened the Queen Elizabeth II Grandstand.

Then, at Royal North Shore Hospital, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with Newcastle Knights player, Mr Alex McKinnon
