On Tuesday 1 June 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Patron, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a morning tea for Legacy widows from Canberra and the surrounding areas.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received author and historian, Mr Allan Blankfield OAM. Later, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as Patron of the Australian Institute of Architects, received for lunch the President of the Australian Institute of Architects, Ms Melinda Dodson, and the Gold Medallists at the 2010 Australian Achievement in Architecture Awards, Mr Lindsay and Mrs Kerry Clare. Then, the Governor-General, as Honorary Member of the Australian National University Chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society, received the President, Mr Paul Grandoni; the Treasurer, Ms Vaishnavi Ravishanka; the Secretary, Mr Nikita Samoylov; and the Asia Pacific Director of the Golden Key International Society, Mr Andrew Roe. In the afternoon, the Governor-General received the First Assistant Secretary, North Asia Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr Graham Fletcher. In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a musical evening in support of the Canberra International Music Festival. Earlier, at the National Capital Authority, Canberra, Mr Bryce attended a meeting of the Lyndsay Pryor National Arboretum Reference Group.
