On Tuesday 11 May 2010, in Binjari, Northern Territory, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Coordinator, Ms Kate Bishop, visited the Good Beginnings Australia Intensive Family Program.

Afterwards, in Katherine, Northern Territory, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Program Coordinator, Ms Peta Romeyn, visited the Katherine Isolated Children's Service Mobile Van. Later, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Katherine Manager Frontier Services, Ms Helen Mar, met with residents of the Rocky Ridge Aged Care Facility. Then, at Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Traditional Owners, visited the gorge. In the evening, at the Carriage Stonegrill, the Governor-General, as Patron of the John James Memorial Foundation, and Mr Bryce, hosted a dinner for members of the Specialist Volunteer Program. Earlier, the Governor-General was represented at Brisbane International Airport at the departure from Australia of the Governor-General of the Solomon Islands, His Excellency Mr Frank Ofagioro Kabui CSI CMG OBE, by Group Captain Robert Lawson ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
