On Tuesday 19 May 2009, in Mitcham, Adelaide, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chief Executive, Ms Judy Curran, visited the Spastic Centre of South Australia.

Afterwards, at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a State Reception hosted in their honour by the Premier of South Australia, the Honourable Mike Rann MP. Later, at the Queen Adelaide Club, the Governor-General co-hosted a luncheon with Mrs Judith Roberts AO. Guests included: the Honourable Ms Catherine Branson QC; Ms Diane Craddock and Ms Suzanna Martin; Professor Anne Edwards AO; Ms Mary Hamilton; Mrs Anne Hawker; Ms Victoria Lewis; Ms Robyn Lynch; Ms Marjorie Jackson-Nelson AC CVO; Sister Deidre Jordan AC; Mrs Anne Marshall; Dr Kemeri Murray AO; Mrs Patricia Patrick; Sister Judy Redden AO; Ms Simone Roberts and Ms Jane Roberts; Dr Elizabeth Rosenbilds OAM; and Dr Josephine Tiddy. Later, at Windsor Gardens, the Governor-General, as guest of the Principal of Windsor Gardens Vocational College, Ms Jan Paterson, visited the Innovative Community Action Network (ICAN) project.
