On Tuesday 21 April 2009 at Warrnambool, Victoria, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officially opened the Brophy ???Family and Youth' Services Complex.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce toured a local dairy farm to view the assistance being provided to dairy farmers to meet future industry challenges. Later, at the Warrnambool Art Gallery, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of honour, attended a Civic Reception hosted by the Mayor of the Warrnambool City Council, Councillor Michael Neoh.
