On Tuesday, 21 August 2007, at AGQUIP Headquarters, Gunnedah, NSW, Their Excellencies, the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended the annual drumMUSTER, at which the Governor-General presented an award to the farmer who returned the 10 millionth drum, Mr John Powell.

Earlier, the Governor-General sent a message of sympathy to His Excellency Mr Hu Jintao, President of the People's Republic of China, following the recent natural disasters in the Zhejiang, Fujian and Shandong Provinces.
