On Tuesday 22 June 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, Dr Geoff Raby.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Vice President of the People's Republic of China, His Excellency Mr Xi Jinping. In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a lunch in honour of the Vice President of the People's Republic of China. Afterwards, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, the Governor-General attended the ceremonial arrival of the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, His Excellency Dr Jose Ramos-Horta. Later, at Government House, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, who remained overnight as a house guest. Earlier, at the National Library of Australia, Canberra, Mr Bryce launched the book ???The Eye's Mind: The Artist and the Draftsman', by Mr Mervyn Moriarty.
