On Tuesday 27 November 2007, at Admiralty House, Sydney, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, as Patron of BBM Ltd (formerly Big Brother Movement) and Mrs Marlena Jeffery hosted a reception for sponsors and supporters.

In the evening, at Sydney Opera House, Their Excellencies, as Joint Patrons of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, attended the 80th Anniversary RFDS concert Symphony of Australia. Earlier, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the transit through Australia of His Royal Highness, The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO, by Commander Forbes Peters RAN, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp. Afterwards, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the Governor-General of Tuvalu, His Excellency the Honourable Reverend Sir Filoimea Telito GCMG MBE, by Captain Michael van Balen RAN, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
