On Tuesday 9 March 2010, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the ceremonial arrival of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Dr Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Madam Ani Bambang Yudhoyono.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received the President of the Republic of Indonesia and Madam Yudhoyono. Later, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, invested His Excellency Dr Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono AC with the insignia of Honorary Companion of the Order of Australia. Then, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a State Lunch in honour of the President of the Republic of Indonesia and Madam Yudhoyono.
