University of Melbourne Degree Conferring Ceremony; Lunch with the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Melbourne

On Saturday 16 March 2013, at the University of Melbourne, Melbourne, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Glyn Davis AC, attended a degree conferral ceremony, at which the Governor-General was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate and delivered the occasional address.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a lunch hosted in their honour by the Vice-Chancellor.

Earlier, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Sprent Dabwido MP, by Colonel Dennis Scanlan CSM RFD, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
