University of Notre Dame and the Hawkesbury District Medical Service Medical School; Nepean Hospital; Governor Arthur Phillip Awards; Asthma Foundation; Grand Mosque, Kuwait; The Al-Sabah Collection Exhibition, Kuwait; President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal; King of Bhutan; Governor-General of Canada

On Friday 25 February 2011, in Windsor, New South Wales, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, officially opened the Hawkesbury Clinical School of The University of Notre Dame’s School of Medicine.

In the afternoon, at the Nepean Hospital, Kingswood, the Administrator officially opened the Positron Emission Tomography CT Scanner.

Afterwards, at Parliament House, Sydney, the Administrator presented the Governor Arthur Phillip Awards.

In the evening, at Government House, Sydney, the Administrator hosted a reception in recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the Asthma Foundation.

Earlier, in Kuwait City, Kuwait, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Director of the Aware Centre, Mr Mohammad Al-Muteb, and Director of the Grand Mosque, Mr Saad Al Hajji, visited the Grand Mosque.

Afterwards, at the Amricani Cultural Centre, Kuwait, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Director General, Sheikha Hussah Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah, viewed ‘The Al-Sabah Collection Exhibition’.

In the afternoon, at Bayan Palace, Kuwait, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce met with the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, The Right Honourable President Dr Ram Baran Yadav.

Later, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce met with the King of Bhutan, His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce met with Their Excellencies the Governor-General of Canada, the Right Honourable David Johnston CC CMM COM CD and Mrs Sharon Johnston CC.
