Visit to Busselton, Margaret River and Perth

On Sunday 2 February 2014, in Busselton, Western Australia, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Mayor of the City of Busselton, Councillor Ian Stubbs and the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Grant Henley, attended a community reception at the Busselton Beachfront.

Afterwards, at the Margaret River Civic Centre, the Governor-General, as guest of the Shire President of the Augusta – Margaret River Shire, Councillor Michael Smart, attended an afternoon tea with representatives of the shire community.

Later, at the Margaret River Community Centre, the Governor-General visited the ‘Count me in Program’ and received an overview of the services the program provides to the disabled community.

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of the Managing Director, Mrs Alex Burt, visited Voyager Estate.

In the evening, at Government House, Perth, the Governor-General met with the Governor of Western Australia, His Excellency Malcolm McCusker AC CVO QC and Mrs Tonya McCusker.
