Visit to Kununurra and Wyndham

On Monday 23 June 2014, at Emma Gorge, El Questro Wilderness Park, Western Australia, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the General Manager, Ms Lori Litwack, attended a breakfast and met with staff.

Afterwards, in Wyndham, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ken Riddiford, visited the Ngnowar Aerwah Aboriginal Corporation.

Later, at the Wyndham Early Learning Activity Centre, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Assistant Manager, Ms Elaine McLean, met with staff, parents and children.

Then, at the Wyndham District High School, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Principal, Mr Mark Williams, attended a lunch prepared by the ‘Kimberley Kids in the Kitchen'.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove visited the Five Rivers Lookout.

In the afternoon, at Kingston Rest, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Managing Director, TFS Corporation, Mr Frank Wilson, and Ambassador, Mr Adam Gilchrist AM, visited a Sandalwood plantation.

Afterwards, in Kununurra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Arts Manager, Ms Cathy Cummings, visited the Warringari Aboriginal Art Gallery.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a dinner. Guests included Councillor John Moulden and Mrs Trish Moulden; and Mr Gary Gaffney and Mrs Sue Gaffney.
