Visit to Lockhart River

On Saturday 27 July 2013, at the Puuya Centre, Lockhart River, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as Patron, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chair of the Puuya Foundation, Ms Dottie Hobson, and CEO Ms Denise Hagan, attended an afternoon tea and 'learning circle' with Puuya Foundation members and the Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce undertook an orientation of Lockhart River and assisted with preparations for a community dinner.

In the evening, at the Lockhart River Community Hall, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, met with community members at dinner and presented the Puuya Foundation Achievement awards.
