Visit to Melbourne

On Tuesday 8 April 2014, in Maribyrnong, Victoria, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the co-founders of The 20th Man Fund, Mr Les Twentyman OAM and Mr Ron Coleman, met with participants and staff of the 20th Man Young Leadership Program.

Afterwards, at Tobruk House, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Secretary, Mr Reg Lawrence, attended a lunch with Rats of Tobruk veterans and Association members.

Later, at Government House, Melbourne, the Governor-General received the Executive Director of The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, Mr Dominic Richards and the Chief Executive, Prince’s Charities Australia, Ms Janine Kirk.

In the evening, at Melbourne, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a dinner. Guests included: Mr Tony Barnes and Mrs Dorothy Barnes; Mr Bruce Bonyhady AM and Mrs Rae Bonyhady; Mrs Rhonda Butler OAM and Mr Kevin Butler OAM; Mr Les Carlyon and Mrs Denise Carlyon; Lady Cowen and Mr Ben Cowen; Professor Jane den Hollander and Dr Jeroen den Hollander; the Right Reverend Dr Peter Hollingworth AC OBE and Mrs Ann Hollingworth; and the Honourable Jeffrey Kennett AC and Mrs Felicity Kennett.
