Visit to regional NSW; Ceremonial Welcome Nauru; Meeting with President of Nauru; Reception for Nauruan Women and Australian Community Members in Nauru; Ceremonial Arrival Federated States of Micronesia; State Dinner Federated States of Micronesia

On Monday 2 April 2012, at Griffith, Yenda, Barellan and Narrandera, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, met with families, children, emergency service workers and volunteers in flood affected areas.

Earlier, at the Government Offices, Nauru, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency Mr Sprent Dabwido, attended a ceremonial welcome.

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with the President of Nauru and members of the Nauru Cabinet.

Later, the Governor-General met with the Speaker of the Parliament of Nauru, the Honourable Ludwig Scotty.

Then, at the Parliament Lounge, the Governor-General attended an afternoon tea with leading Nauruan women and Australian community members in Nauru.

In the evening, at Pohnpei International Airport, Federated States of Micronesia, the Governor-General attended a ceremonial welcome.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of the President of the Federated States of Micronesia, President Emanuel Mori, attended a State Dinner hosted in her honour.
