On Wednesday 1 August 2007, at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery, attended the Scouting Sunrise Breakfast to mark the Centenary of Scouting at which the Governor-General, as Chief Scout of Australia, led the reaffirmation of the Scout Promise.
