On Wednesday 28 April 2010, at the Western Australian Museum, Perth, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, His Excellency Dr Ken Michael AC, viewed the 95th Gallipoli anniversary touring exhibition ???This company of brave men: the Gallipoli VCs'.

In the Republic of Turkey, at Anitkabir, Ankara, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE visited the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, at which the Governor-General laid a wreath. Afterwards, at the Presidential Palace, Ankara, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended an official welcoming ceremony hosted by the President of the Republic of Turkey, His Excellency Mr Abdullah Gül. Later, the Governor-General met with the President of the Republic of Turkey, and together, they witnessed the signing ceremony of the Double Taxation Agreement and Air Services Agreement. Then, at Atpazari, Ankara, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce visited the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations. Afterwards, at the Office of the Prime Minister, Ankara, the Governor-General met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, His Excellency Mr Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In the evening, at the Presidential Palace, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended an Official Dinner hosted in their honour by the President of the Republic of Turkey.
