On Wednesday 3 October 2007, in Sydney, the Administrator Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO officially opened the Wesley Fair at the Wesley Mission Head Office.

Later, at Parliament House, Sydney, the Administrator delivered the keynote address at the Sydney Hospital Graduate Nurses' Association Annual Luncheon. In the evening, at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, Darling Harbour, the Administrator and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE, as guests of honour, attended the Merry Makers Gala Dinner and Concert. In The Kingdom of Belgium, at the official residence of the Australian Ambassador, Their Excellencies, the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery, as guests of honour, attended an official luncheon hosted by the Australian Ambassador, His Excellency Dr Alan Thomas. In the afternoon, at Waterloo, Their Excellencies visited the site of Napoleon's last camp.
