On Wednesday 9 June 2010, at Government House, Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, His Excellency Mr Cornelis Wilhelmus Andreae.
Afterwards, at the Garden Island Chapel, Sydney, the Administrator attended the funeral service for the late Rear Admiral Nigel Coates AM RAN. Earlier, at the Australian Embassy, Beijing, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC attended a Women's Networking Lunch, hosted by the Australian Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, Dr Geoff Raby. In the afternoon, at the All-China Women's Federation, the Governor-General attended a meeting with the Vice-President of the All-China Women's Federation, Madam Song Xiuyan. Afterwards, at the National Art Museum of China, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a reception at which the Papunya Exhibition was officially launched. Later, at the Diaoyutai State Guest House, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a meeting with the Vice-President of the People's Republic of China, Dr Xi Jinping. In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended an Official Dinner, hosted in their honour by the Vice-President of the People's Republic of China, Dr Xi Jinping.
