On Friday 11 October 2019, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr John Nowlan, CEO, met with staff and viewed the BlueScope Steelworks plant and facilities at Port Kembla.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Professor Frank Deane, Chair, One Door Illawarra, attended a Mental Health in the Workplace luncheon.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled to Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley participated in an interview with the ABC for Government House Open Day.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for members of the ADF King’s Cup Rowing Team.
