World Rural Women's Day; ???The Canning Stock Route' exhibition; National Day of Spain

On Tuesday 12 October 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Lebanon, Mr Lex Bartlem OAM.

Afterwards, at the National Museum of Australia, the Governor-General hosted a lunch in recognition of World Rural Women's Day. Guests included: Mr David Crombie; Mr Ben Fargher; Ms Edwina Clowes; Mr Craig Burns; Ms Sue Middleton; Ms Alana Johnson; Ms Roma Britnell; Ms Ros Smerdon; Ms Deb Bain; Ms Martha Shepherd; Mrs Lesley Young; Mrs Karen Tully; Dr Patricia Hamilton; Ms Jodie Goldsworthy; and Mrs Joanne Grainger.

Later, at the National Museum of Australia, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Director, Mr Andrew Sayers AM, viewed ‘The Canning Stock Route’ exhibition.

In the evening, at the Canberra Theatre Centre, Mr Bryce, as guest of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain, His Excellency Mr Carlos Sánchez de Boado Y de la Válgoma, and Mrs Maria Elena Torreguitar Delpech, attended a reception and concert celebrating the occasion of the National Day of Spain.
