Wreath laying ceremony; Departure ceremony from Canberra

On Wednesday 26 March 2014, at the Australian War Memorial, the Governor-General the Honourable Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chair, Rear Admiral Ken Doolan AO RAN (Retd), and Director, the Honourable Dr Brendan Nelson, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier.

Afterwards, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Prime Minister, the Honourable Tony Abbott MP, and Mrs Margaret Abbott, attended a ceremony to mark their departure from Canberra before returning to Brisbane.
